Benghazi: Compromised Communications & Intel Reports

Libyan officials took snap-shots of classified papers that were not properly destroyed, as they should have been when the terrorist attack on the embassy in Benghazi became imminent. Those papers were reported in various news media outlets in the Middle East. Obviously, embassy workers either failed to enact their emergency destruction plan. I know we kept a couple of incendiary grenades on top of our classified materials safes when we were deployed. Perhaps the documents were left in tact on purpose, in order to reveal puzzle pieces about what really transpired.

Ansar al-Sharia
Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit published this revealing article. If you follow that link, you will see images of the documents and the damning tale they indicate.

The embassy requested increased security, which it was denied. The threat analysts demonstrated an imminent and eminent threat from an al-Q'aeda affiliate. The concerns were ignored. Taqfiri operatives took photographs and documented the various security protocols in the embassy. They were spotted and reported. No action was taken.

This article at MEMRI displays even more data and evidence that indicates a cover-up by the Obama administration.

Ansar al-Sunna /Ansar al-Islam
Greta Van Susteran posted a little analytical piece by David Ignatius. Ignatius took a hard look at the timeline and discovered that intelligence activities most likely knew of Ansar al-Sharia's (an al-Q'aeda affiliate who is also linked to Ansar al-Sunna and Ansar al-Islam -- all listed as "Taqfiri" or heretical and extremist groups) plans to assassinate Chris Stevens. Just looking at the timeline of events, it's obvious that they knew it was coming. While the attack progressed, the administration knew it was a terrorist attack and who was responsible. However, the administration attempted, for two weeks, to cover it up and cast blame onto a video.

The cover-up of the events in Libya are quickly overshadowing previous cover-ups under this administration. The Fast and Furious scandal should have been enough to convince voters not to re-elect Obama. They should have been enough to put Eric Holder in jail. That debacle was enough of a betrayal of public trust. Libya makes the murder of Brian Terry and that cover-up to be a minor white lie, in comparison.

Members of the current administration are not fit to run a local pool hall, much less the federal government. US Army Rangers have one word to describe this sort of failure:  "UNACCEPTABLE".
