Gun-grabbers looking foolish --

Loonie Liberals --

Meaghy McCain opened her mouth again to show everybody her lack of brain cells. Does anybody actually believe her claims of being conservative, republican or even libertarian? Now she's trying to tell the GOP that they have to buy into unproven junk science. Meagy, maybe you should lay off the corn syrup, gluten, and kool-aid. Even your RINO dad isn't that dumb.

US Military personnel need to feel honored. The grand messiah, Obozo, designed a special salute just for them -- the pumpkin-spice cafe latte salute! This douchebag is worse than Hitlery. At least she was honest when she told US Soldiers she felt they were beneath her and needed to avert their eyes from her majesty.

US cedes sovereignty to UN

UN General Assembly Hall
UN General Assembly Hall | PHOTO CREDIT: Wiki Commons

WASHINGTON and NEW YORK, April 1, 2014 — The US cedes sovereignty to the UN, discarding the Constitution.

In a pre-dawn session closed to the press, legislators gathered for a secret, unannounced emergency vote on a virtually unknown treaty with the United Nations. Ratification of the treaty cedes all federal authority to the UN in all aspects from healthcare to gun rights to national defense to education.

The votes were nearly unanimous, with Rep. Justin Amash, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Sen. Mike Lee as the only opposing votes. Cruz and Lee drew immediate criticism from unlikely sources to include Sen. Rand Paul, who is rumored to have said something similar to “This treaty is what we need to do like my daddy said and stop all of these senseless wars”.

The treaty states that from this point forward, all legislation passed by the US Congress must first be ratified by a majority vote by the UN before the US President may enact or veto the legislation. In addition, US taxpayers will now pay an additional 13 percent income tax to the UN. That is above all state, local, and federal taxes.

All officials elected to state or federal offices now will require confirmation by a majority vote of the UN prior to taking office. The confirmation process reportedly will take no more than nine months. This stipulation takes effect in November 2014.

All business licenses, domestic or international, now require UN approval before businesses may open. The approval process is expected to be swift, taking no more than ten years to garner approval or disapproval. No appeals will be granted. Businesses may re-apply after a two year period if disapproved.
All US medical professionals and educators have two years to certify under UN regulations regarding those industries. Licensing will now include an annual $5,000 fee paid to the UN. All educational materials, especially those involving history or political science, must be approved by the UN’s education committee.
All immigration and naturalization policies and laws are now nullified. Under the treaty, the US must immediately open all borders and disband the border patrol. US military personnel must take an oath of loyalty to the UN Security Council. They are forthwith to commence door to door searches of private dwellings, seizing all firearms larger than .20 caliber.

For further information on this treaty, please go to the top of the article and read the dateline, again. April Fools! Have a great day!

Though the information in this story is purely fictitious, readers are encouraged to research Agenda-21, the International Baccalaureate, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Agreement.

Yearly Recap - 13s of '13

Last year, I did a "top 10" for my year in blogs. Things have changed quite a bit over the past year. So this years finale is a little different. We have a few things that we'll attempt to compile into lists of 13. Many of these have no order of precedence, priority, or importance. They are also not all-inclusive, representing only the first 13 to come to mind at the time of writing.

13 major changes in '13 (no order of importance) -

Wish 'For Not' List

Around certain times of the year, many of us get flooded with people asking us "What do you want for...?".

The question comes around certain holidays like Christmas and Yule. It comes as anniversaries approach. We get the question in regards to weddings and graduations. Some people have gone so far as registering wish-lists for birthdays at places such as Amazon.com or Williams-Sonoma.

I prefer to be both easy and difficult. If somebody feels compelled to purchase a gift for me, I like it to be from the heart. I prefer something that represents a level of effort. That effort can be in the search. It can also be in maintaining how well they pay attention to who I am. I like things that are hand-made and unique. Any of the above more than suffice. I also like to be surprised. If I give people a list, I can usually expect to get that list. That is boring. It equates to asking for gift cards so I can just shop for my own gift.

If you know me, you know that cash gifts (or checks) don't fall into the same category as gift cards, in my perspective. those gifts go into one account or other. They amount to a gift of part of a large purchase, like a house. In the meantime, the money is invested and grows. So, it continues to give. I'd also graciously accept bonds, stocks, T-bills, and shares in mutual finds.

Gift cards do not accrue interest or dividends. With inflation, they actually decrease in value.

Those who give gift cards, don't be disparaged or think me unappreciative. I understand that some people send them because they intend me to use it towards a specific gift that cannot be easily mailed  at a reasonable cost. However, those few cases are usually coordinated with a phone call or a card with the intended gift stated. Besides, if my mother wanted to buy me a sweater or a sports jacket, she'd have some difficulty getting it fitted or knowing my size. (Guys, keep this in mind when buying clothing for your gals. In those cases, it may be a lot wiser to buy the gift card that will cover the item. Put the card in with a picture of the item. Make the note flattering. Then let her try it on, buy it, or buy something she might be more comfortable wearing.)

Also, do not get me wrong. The gift cards will be used. There is an amount of though behind them, many times. For example, one for Williams-Sonoma is a good choice. I love to cook. but keeping up with my growing collection of cooking utensils can be difficult. So, if somebody sends one with a picture of a gelato maker, I'll gleefully thank them and buy something else (I already have one, and love it.)

So, don't worry. Gift cards may not be my favorite form of gift. They, however, are NOT on the "don't get" list.

So, I am not a "wish-list" guy.

I am a "wish for not" guy. I can give you a list of things I'd rather you stayed away from. Those who know me fairly well probably don't need that list. Even as a "gag gift" items on that list can become painful for anybody around.

Don't buy me undergarments. Period.

Don't buy me sport-team fan apparel, unless you are confident what teams (or athletes in non-team sports) I like. Here is a huge hint:  if it isn't a Chicago team, you can expect to have it epoxied to your body and set on fire. (Really, I won't set people on fire. I will set effigies of people on fire, though.)

Don't buy me DVDs or Blu-Ray Disks. My wife will greatly attest why this is a very bad idea. I may already have it. I may have it in HD digital. I may not want it. I may have already owned it and dumped it in the "ready to sell as used" pile.

Don't buy me expendables or consumables. The exception is scotch. If you buy me scotch, it says you love me. The older and finer the scotch, the more you love me. I like scotch old enough to order itself at the bar. If it is old enough to run for president (but can't because it was born in Scotland), it is probably perfect. Then again, it won't be gone in a week, either.

The other exception to the consumables is really fine spices. I cook. Fellow foodies out there appreciate my meaning here.

I can go on with the list, but I really am not a "negatives" guy. If I list too many negatives, people may get the idea that I'm overly picky. That is not the case. I really am easy to buy for. The thought and effort mean more to me than monetary value. The gifts themselves take on sentimental value that far exceeds the price-tag.

As an example, friends of mine bought me an 18 year old bottle of scotch one year. Later, when asked about it, I may have given off an air of "meh, thanks, not a big deal". About a week later I made sure they understood that I meant "No! That was an 18 year old [brand redacted]! Dude, that was kick ass! Thank You!". Sometimes my "emotional responses" come out a bit too "deadpan".

All of this is background towards the rest of the article.

One year, I was inundated with "what do you want..." requests. So, I wrote an essay intended  to be somewhat humorous. Unfortunately, the satire was not immediately recognized.

My writing style sometimes tends to take on one perspective, then flip it around. So, the hook can infuriate people once in a while. This article was one of those times.

I had friends who knew me well erupt in anger, preparing to rip my head off. I had one who got halfway through the essay and was floored in disbelief. She was appalled believing I actually meant the things said in the hook.

I received  loads of hate-mail and threatening comments from regular readers. Most of them swore they'd not only never read my writings again, but would close me down.

I found that hilarious. So did those who read the full article instead of stopping at the jump and composing a hateful response. After a little urging, most went back and finished reading the article. They got the joke.

I wrote this years ago, in 2007. That was before I met the woman who would actually marry me. I was "single and not looking" at the time.

Without further ado, I present a reprint of the following:

All I want for my Birthday is a Stepford Wife

My birthday is still a few days away. Every year I have friends going nuts over what to get me. I have a rather expansive DVD collection. Usually a movie or TV season I want comes out and I have it on release day, ordered on Netflix, or downloading on iTunes. It’s the same with books. I love books. I have a huge catalogue of them. I have a list of about 50 that are still on my shelf waiting to be cracked open. To top it off, I recently bought a Kindle and can download many books and periodical subscriptions straight to it.

Music is just as difficult. My tastes vary with my mood. I have a few thousand CDs, a couple of hundred vinyl records, and an MP3 collection that makes most people faint (I have two external hard drives filled and a third started).

I own a PS3. I have games for it. I am picky about the games I play. I also am not addicted to the damned thing. Basically, occasionally, I will play one of the games I have. Usually, this includes having multiple days off in a row, something I rarely get these days. Hell, I am happy with just two days off from work. It means I can rest one day and clean house the second (or vice versa). Lately, I get only one full day off a week. I have games that I have not even opened yet.

Time off would be a great present.

Guitar stuff would be great. I can always use strings, picks, a new 6-string acoustic (full size, not a “starter”). But you’d have to know me well enough to know what brands I prefer. Like many musicians, I’m picky.

Nah, the best gift would be a wife, a perfect wife. People want to see me happy, that could make me happy. Yes, a perfect wife.

Let’s take an inventory of the features of a Stepford wife.

1. A Stepford wife is in great shape, is in her physical prime, and won’t age.
2. A Stepford wife is a perfect homemaker, keeps the house clean and neat.
3. A Stepford wife is ready for sex whenever I want it, and is always good… never protests anything kinky.
4. A Stepford wife is loyal.
5. A Stepford wife requires very little maintenance.
6. A Stepford wife doesn’t nag or complain.
7. A Stepford wife always makes her husband look good. It is her role.
8. A Stepford wife is content staying at home. She doesn’t need to work. She has no aspirations or dreams that have to be catered to.
9. A Stepford wife doesn’t argue, complain, or try to exert her point of view.
10. A Stepford wife doesn’t get overly emotional, doesn’t cry, doesn’t get insecure, and doesn’t overreact.

It all seems pretty appealing, doesn’t it? I mean, the list can go on for a few more bullets. However, this covers some of the biggest draws for a perfect home appliance for a guy.

Yes, I said it, “a home appliance”.

A Super-toaster

A full-service Molly Maid

Best Buy, Lowe’s, and Home Depot would make a mint selling them.

I’m sure by now most of my female readers are already writing their flaming comments about how much of a closet misogynist I am. I assure you that I am not being chauvinistic. These are actually qualities that some guys look for. Before your fingers of hellfire start tapping in words of sulfur and brimstone in an effort to raise cover, posse, or cabal in a crusade to destroy me; read on. By now you all know that I leave a punch-line for the end.

While this would be a great help around the house, I would probably return this gift before the 90 day limit ended. The free trial period would probably find me going nuts by day 30.

Now let’s take a look at why:

1. A Stepford wife is in great shape, is in her physical prime, and won’t age.

While physical prime is a great thing, half the fun of being with somebody is having somebody to keep in shape with, and keep in shape for (other than yourself and your personal quality of life). I am an outdoors person a good portion of the time. While I want somebody who can keep up with me on a hike, I want somebody who enjoys hiking, for the sights, for the fresh air, and for the exercise. As far as the aging thing goes… the thought of growing old with somebody actually turns me on. I want that lifelong relationship. I want to grow with somebody. I don’t want somebody who is stagnant. That is part of having a life with somebody, aging is part of life. It is essential to it. Fuck stagnation. Stagnation equals death. Fuck death.

2. A Stepford wife is a perfect homemaker, keeps the house clean and neat.

Ok, I have a certain amount of OCD. I think everybody has their quirks. I must admit that I drive myself nuts when I get too busy at work and have not the energy to clean my place the way I like it. But you know what? I have a buddy who was married to an OCD queen. The house was immaculate, sure. But it was like a museum! I don’t mean a place like the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago with all the hands-on exhibits. I mean, shoes came off while you were still outside! You felt guilty about sitting ANYWHERE! There were no signs of anybody living there. There were no indications of any form of fun or relaxation in the house. A home should be neat and sanitary. But it should also be lived in and homey. It should be someplace to relax, enjoy time off, and enjoy private/personal time with the people you love. It should be a place you are not ashamed to have friends come to, but should also be a place where friends feel welcome.

3. A Stepford wife is ready for sex whenever I want it, and is always good… never protests anything kinky.

First of all… seduction is a great game between couples. It is part of foreplay. The occasional playing “hard to get” spices up a relationship. Also, if you read parts of my earlier blogs about my ideas on sex, there has to be that emotional bond. Sex is great if it is part of making love. You can make love without having sex. You can have sex without making love. I prefer to make love. If sex is part of it, that’s great. But it is all about that mutual sharing of self. It is all about giving your being over to another, and accepting the other into you. Kinky stuff once in a while can spark up the physical or psychological aspects of passion. But it is also important to have somebody there to help draw lines between physical love and debauchery.

4. A Stepford wife is loyal.

Yeah, loyal with no free will. The Stepford wife doesn’t choose loyalty or fidelity. You know, if somebody doesn’t want to be with me, she should have the freedom to choose so. I want somebody with free will. I want somebody who makes that decision to give herself to only me every day, by her own desire, her own choice. I am a huge advocate of the power of choice. I am a huge advocate of free will. I can’t be with somebody who doesn’t have either. Sorry, that is a HUGE turn-off. So is being cheated on. But you don’t have love and trust if one or the other is incapable of making that conscious choice.

5. A Stepford wife requires very little maintenance.

I like to be pampered from time to time. On the flipside, I LOVE to pamper. I like to treat somebody I feel is special with a little special treatment. I like going and shopping for a new dress with somebody. (I’m not too big on the shoes thing, though. I own my combat boots, a pair of black dress shoes that go with everything, a pair of Doc Marten’s, a pair of running shoes, and my Birkenstock sandals. I don’t get the whole shoes thing. I mean, find one or two COMFORTABLE pairs that go with most of your wardrobe. Owning 50 pairs of low-mid priced shoes that you may only wear once or twice is a galactic waste of money AND storage space.) I enjoy going to the spa. Ok, before you go all “he’s a metro-sexual” on me, let me tell you why. During my second tour in Iraq, I went on a pass to Qatar. They had a spa down there. One of my fellow NCOs made us an appointment for “the works”. I got a manicure. I keep my nails shaped and clean. But I couldn’t believe the gunk they pulled off my hands. I got a pedicure. Guys, trust me… they are worth it. After years of abusing my feet and especially 15 months, at that time, of pounding sand, it was awesome! No, I didn’t get polish put on either my hands or feet. I got a facial done. The amount of dead skin and crap pulled out of my pores left me feeling a LOT cleaner and looking younger. The massage, well, show me one guy who doesn’t like a massage. So girls, you got a straight guy here that would love to take you to a spa to get you all pampered and feeling great… and yes, I will do the same. I also like bathing my partners. I like to wash their hair. I like to scrub their backs. On occasion, I like to wash more than just their backs… but that usually involves more than just bathing them. I also like to be the one that somebody gets all dolled-up for, on occasion. But I also like a gal who has no problems putting on jeans, grabbing a gun and a backpack with food and water in it (plus maybe a nice picnic set) and heading up into the mountains. I like somebody who, once in a while, needs or wants to put her head on my lap or just be held. I like somebody with some needs and desires.

6. A Stepford wife doesn’t nag or complain.

Ok, this is a tough one to deliberate. Nagging will get you tuned-out very quickly. So will needless complaining. On the other hand, though, if somebody doesn’t identify a problem or something that can be improved, things don’t get improved. I want somebody who can encourage me to be a better person and will help me continue to grow. Sometimes, a small amount of nagging is part of that. Also, this goes back to the whole free will thing. Somebody who never complains is probably somebody who doesn’t have a brain.

7. A Stepford wife always makes her husband look good. It is her role.

This is another one that is difficult to contend. But once again, it goes back to free will. Fuck roles. Somebody should help their partner look good because it makes BOTH look good. It should never be about one or the other person. It should be about both partners. In addition, it isn’t a competition between the partners. It is the partners competing with the world, or parts of the world that conflict against them. When one or the other wins, both win. A relationship is about partners. It is about a team. A true team has no superstars. The Bulls didn’t win by having MJ take every shot. The Bulls won by making sure whoever could make the shot took it… be it Pippin, the Worm, or whoever. We didn’t win the World Cup because of Mia Hamm alone. Brandi Chastain, Lilley, and the rest of the TEAM did it through teamwork. (mmmm… Brandi Chastain taking off her jersey and doing that back-flip in celebration… mmmm… Sorry, fond memories. Brandi and I were born on the same day and in the same hospital, BTW. So, Happy Birthday Brandi!). Sorry for the sports analogies. But sports are usually the best analogies for teamwork.

8. A Stepford wife is content staying at home. She doesn’t need to work, has no aspirations or dreams that have to be catered to.

Again, a relationship is all about partnership. While I am not against having a housewife, if I am making more than enough to support the household, I sure as hell believe in equity. People need to work. They need to do something that makes them feel like they are accomplishing something. A home requires money. It is logical that a wife works. She’ll be a happier person and the bills will get paid. It is best for all involved. Now, if she makes enough to finance the household and wants me to stay at home, do the chores, etc… I’m comfortable with that as well. But she better not complain if I go out and get a job. Again, it is not about competition. It is a partnership. Also, a person without dreams and aspirations is stagnant. As I already said, fuck stagnation. The partnership of a relationship is about helping each other’s dreams come true. Yes, you may need to balance them. Yes, one may have to sacrifice for the other, now. But tomorrow should be the reciprocation. Damn it, if you love somebody, bolster them! Help them FLY! Be a coach, cheerleader, prop-monkey. Her success is your success, and vice versa. And one last little thought… it’s cool to cater to HER sexual fantasies.

9. A Stepford wife doesn’t argue, or try to exert her point of view.

This means that the Stepford wife has no fucking mind of her own. It means she has no opinions. It means she doesn’t read. It means she doesn’t think. While I don’t want to have to argue over every silly little thing, a good debate is good for the mind and soul. Also, a certain amount of arguing IS a way of showing you care. Believe it or not, half the arguments in a relationship are because they care. If I’m being stupid, call me on it. Yeah, I’ll fight back, at first. So what? I’m human! But fight fair! Give me a chance to cool down and discuss it… but the initial fight is a door for communication being kicked open. Sometimes that door NEEDS to be kicked open. The idea is not to immediately slam it shut. Also, debate can be mental foreplay… Now that’s sexy.

10. A Stepford wife doesn’t get overly emotional, doesn’t cry, doesn’t get insecure, and doesn’t overreact.

Overreaction is a sign of giving a fuck. It is also a sign of miscommunication. It is that door being kicked open. If you are joyous and happy and celebrating, let me celebrate with you. If you are laughing, let me laugh with you. Let me share all your joys and pains. Share mine. Damn it, if you are sad, cry. Cry on my shoulder. Bite my chest if you are frustrated. Lean on me if you are weary. Be yourself around me. Let me do the same. Don’t make me a crutch. But let me be a handhold. Don’t hide your insecurities. Let me allay them. Allay mine. Use me as a sparring partner, but not a punching bag. Don’t be afraid to reciprocate. I take martial arts. A good sparring partner is all about trust. You trust each other to give it your all. But you trust each other not to hurt one another. It is partnership. It is about making each other better. It is about pushing each other’s limits without stepping over the line. Yes, once in a while a strike or block gets away from you. But trust me, the sting of that slip-up hurts the one who threw it more than the one it impacted. The same goes with an emotional sparring partner. It is about making each other stronger. In doing so, you make the partnership stronger. You make the team stronger. It is not combat. It is about love, not war. When he or she lets her defenses down, don’t take advantage. It means the sparring is over and it is time for a rub-down, not a cheap-shot. In martial arts, that marks the time to bow and thank your partner… show the mutual respect. In love, it is time to hold each other. It is time to kiss. It is time to thank the other for being in your life.

Yeah… a Stepford wife is definitely OFF the list.

However, I could use a massage and six months of service from “Molly Maid”.

If It Weren't Hilarious, It Would Be Harassment

The White House has been emailing my wife.

Those of you who know my wife may want to stop chortling long enough to read the rest of this. No, we do not apologize for your having sprayed your beverage all over your computer monitor. If you were snacking and don't have anybody around to give you the Heimlich, use the back of a chair. Once you catch your breath, come on back and finish reading.

Anybody else, if you are drinking coffee, water, or some other beverage, put it down, now. You may want to abstain from food for a few minutes as well.

If it didn't so quickly denigrate into the butt of jokes, it'd be harassment. If anybody other than the White House were sending the emails, the replies of "quit spamming me or I'll press charges" would actually elicit a positive response of "sorry ma'am, we'll take you off of our list". However, we already know that Obama believes he is above the law.

My wife tries to be apolitical. However, she married me. She knew what she was getting into. Keeping that in mind, let me also inform a few of you that my wife adores the BlogCon-CLT T-shirt I passed along to her. It is the "Freedom Badger Don't Care" shirt some of you may be familiar with. She also will wear her BlogCon-13 T-shirt to the gym on Fridays.  If you haven't seen the pictures, my wife had a bit of fun meeting, socializing, and listening to some of the people she's heard me talk about over the past few years.

If Steve Crowder, Chris Loesch, Dana Loesch, Mandy Nagy, Deneen Borelli,  Brandon Morse or Steve Green happen to read this, she still talks about BlogCon-13. In fact, each time our daughter coerces us into playing the video for "Mr. America", my wife is quick to point out "I met them... all of them".

She can't wear that T to work. She has a strict dress code where she teaches. They have to dress up like Walmart employees. It does make things easier, though. She gets to forgo the 15 minutes of outfit coordination she was encumbered with at her last job.

The BlogCon-13 T-shirt is red. We like to wear red on Fridays. My wife and I are both veterans. R.E.D. stands for Remember Everyone Deployed.

When saying my wife is "apolitical" it isn't to mean she doesn't have views. She is quite conservative. In fact, on many topics, she is more conservative than my libertarian-leaning positions. She just isn't overly vocal. If you read her reviews of The Hunger Games and How Do You Kill 11 Million People, you can see she is relatively conservative.

Many times I bounce my ideas off of her before I open my yap (or start hammering at the keyboard). I'll run some facts toward her and see what she has to say. In some cases, her reaction is much more conservative than mine. In some cases, when she hears the news playing on the radio, she will look at me and say "Did he/she [insert liberal politician] just actually say that? No! That is just... just stupid. Are you going to write about that?"

She knows my audience isn't on par with Michelle Malkin, Dana Loesch, or Erick Erickson. Still, she thinks that even the 30-100 people I reach is a good start.

Though she's working on her delivery, my wife can pull off some amazing bits of witty humor at times. Recently, she almost had me convinced that she didn't vote for Ted Cruz. "In the final election? I wrote in Dewhurst". She voted for Cruz in both of the primaries and in the final.

I won't buy it if she tries that same tactic should Dewhurst be facing Todd Staples. She met Mr. Staples and liked him.

So, there is a little background on my wife.

While preparing for bed the other night my wife looked at me. "Why in the hell am I getting emails from the White House?"

In case you didn't catch it, that means she considers them unsolicited and a nuisance.  Surprisingly, she didn't instantaneously tag them as junk mail. She started reading the first one to me. After two sentences, I stopped her and summarized it for her. She asked if I received the same mail. I informed her that I heard the rhetoric earlier in the day as Obama played demagogue and propagated his latest pile of rubbish that is recycled more yet less utilitarian than cow patties. Cow patties can be used as fertilizer, helping to grow food. They also emit methane gas. If some smart chemical engineer could learn to harvest that gas, safely and efficiently, it would make a great fuel source.

That brings us to the email's topic. It was soliciting my wife to buy into Obama's rhetoric on "green energy" and punishing fossil fuel producers. My wife doesn't "buy into" anything without doing her own "market research". Right off the bat, however, she asked how much more it will end up costing her to fill up the car each week.

Yes, that is one of the key problems with Obama's latest policy push regarding our Republic's energy self-reliance. He wants our energy costs to be beyond what an average person can afford. I guess being able to drive yourself to a job, earn a paycheck, pay your share of taxes, drive to the store, buy your own food with your own earnings, drive home, cook your own food, and have a family meal in the house you bought for yourself with your own earnings is more than Obama thinks we deserve. He thinks that the government should provide all of the above by putting the burden onto the backs of others who have earned.

So, Obama had a staffer send out emails to justify even more fascist, unlegislated regulations being issued by the bureaucracies within the executive branch.

Let's take a little look at how ridiculous the EPA has become. The EPA, and others, did an environmental impact study before starting a wind generator experiment on some military bases. One of them identified serious potential threats to some avian wildlife as well as a protected species of bat. The bottom line was that the windmill couldn't operate in hours that present the greatest activity of the bats. In addition, they were told to operate until a certain number of avian deaths were confirmed. Of course, those responsible for operating and maintaining the wind generator are the same who will check for dead birds and bats. No external oversight was tasked. It is a "green energy" project. Therefore, they get a pass.

On the contrary, try setting up a fractured hydraulic drilling rig on private property in order to collect and use your own natural gas. The EPA will be up your poop-shoot on a regular basis. That is if you are even allowed to build on your own land in the first place.Under the new proposed regulations, the regulatory fees and taxes would make it unaffordable. Then again, wind power and solar power tend to not be cost-effective to your average homeowner either.

But you'd be allowed to kill birds, just as long as you don't report yourself for having killed too many.

My wife received a second email from the White House. She passed it along to me. She didn't bother to read it. But we had a nice laugh over breakfast after I summarized it for her.

In short, this staffer wanted to tell us all the great work Obama did this week.

First came more "green energy, punish energy sources that are cost-effective and actually work!" propaganda.

When was the last time you can remember a week like this? On Tuesday, President Obama committed the full weight of American leadership to the fight against carbon pollution and climate change.
This staffer wants us to believe that Obama's executive powers are so great that he can control the weather! Oh, let us not forget "carbon pollution". I guess he forgets that trees, grass, humans, plants, animals, and fish are all carbon-based. I guess they are all pollution, now.

Next, Obama took credit for the Supreme Court ruling that DOMA violates state's rights. If you aren't laughing, look at Obama's track record on states' rights issues. Start with Obamacare. Next, move on to voter registration. How about the issues he has with Arizona's SB-17. Obama does not care one iota about states' rights. He cares about buying votes and stealing individual freedoms with empty promises. We can remind him that he supported DOMA when Bill Clinton signed it into law. Oh, Obama also took credit for the SCOTUS throwing out the case concerning California's Prop. 8. They didn't rule. They remanded it back to California courts. Read the ruling. It does not say "overturned". It specifically says "Vacated and Remanded".

In any case, I guess there are some people who believe that Obama has some special executive power that supersedes the US Constitution and allows him to issue court opinions with Roberts' or Kennedy's signature blocks. His auto-pen is just that damn good.

If you believe Obama supports state and individual rights, you may want to review his views on the Voting Registration Act decision:

Before the President spoke on Tuesday, the Supreme Court struck down one of the core provisions of the Voting Rights Act that has helped to protect one of Americans’ most fundamental rights for nearly 50 years. As the President said, it’s now up to Congress to ensure that every American has equal access to the polls.
So, despite what the US Constitution says, Obama is trying to order the US Congress, an equal branch of government to the executive branch, not subordinate to it, to violate the US Constitution and tell states how to govern their electoral processes. But we digress...

That isn't what got us laughing. What got us laughing was Obama praising the US Senate for passing yet another "comprehensive" bill that they failed to actually read before voting.

The email discusses "undocumented workers" and "undocumented immigrants". First, if they are "undocumented" it's only because the US Government has failed to process all of those caught breaking the law. The USBP is still employing a "turn back south" policy. Instead of capturing and deporting invaders, the US Government is asking them to "please go home". It's like asking a bully "please stop picking on me". They won't until you pop them in the nose.

Today, 68 members of the U.S. Senate, Republicans and Democrats, came together and voted to reform our nation's immigration system. They voted for a bill that secures our borders and cracks down on employers who refuse to play by the rules. They voted for a bill that provides undocumented immigrants with a way to earn citizenship so they can come out of the shadows. They voted for a bill that provides visas to foreign entrepreneurs looking to start American businesses, reunites families, and helps the students and young people who've never known any home but America fully embrace the country that they love.
Well, the if some super-smart chemical engineer could generate methane from the amount of bull droppings in that statement, the US would be energy sufficient for a decade.

Many of those not caught, captured, deported, processed, or "turned back south" evade the USBP. They get documentation. It is usually forged. Many times, it also includes stolen personal identification information (PII). That is a crime also known as "identity theft". It is illegal. So, they are not "undocumented". They are "fraudulently and illegally documented". So let's shorten that mouthful to just "illegal" or "criminal".

Of course, Obama's rhetoric doesn't account for those who do come legally but end up in "illegal" status. Many of them are victims of the bloated bureaucracy run by the administration and the labyrinth of red tape they created to justify their jobs and budget. It causes delays in notification and processing of these otherwise legal immigrants, causing their visas to expire without any notification or warning. In fact, once such a person gets such a visa, they have to apply for a renewal the next day to get it processed in time.

What is hilarious, though, is that Obama's little staffer attempts to give three examples. She makes it appear as though these are illegal immigrants who made good on the American Dream. All three of these people do need to be applauded. They were not illegal or "undocumented" immigrants. All three went through the proper legal process and became naturalized US Citizens the right and legal way. If anything, they are examples against Obama's own rhetoric. These are what opponents of the Senate mockery of immigration reform actually want:  legal immigrants that prosper.

We heard from a 24-year-old honors student named Ruben who told us that he has dreamed of joining the U.S. military since he was 17 years old. "Since then," he said, "there has not been one day in which I do not think of the day that I will finally become a U.S. Marine."

We heard from a man named Miguel who arrived in the United States at 12, speaking hardly any English. He's now a citizen, a taxpayer, and the president of his local Chamber of Commerce.

We heard from a woman named Ramona whose father landed on Ellis Island in 1920, then helped build the New York subway system. "We all have come from someplace else if we go back far enough," she wrote.

It's the ones that Obama doesn't address that we oppose:  those who sneak in while carrying drugs to pay for  their passage and fraudulent documents. Obama also magically omits the cases of slavery and indentured servitude his policies have been complicit in fostering.

Also, Obama wants the criminals to be viewed as victims. After all, it is the fault of the prosperous, hard working US Citizen who has his identity and voter registration stolen by an illegal. The illegal immigrant is the victim. They deserve the right to vote and their share of your earnings because you worked so hard. Then again, he'll also tell you "you didn't build that". I guess the illegal invaders that stole your identity did.

To that White House Staffer, you have a job as a comedy writer. Wait, you weren't being satirical? You were serious? That makes this even more funny!

Anyway, thanks to this young lady for the laughs:

Cecilia Muñoz
Director, Domestic Policy Council
The White House

She is also a member of the rather racist and anti-US organization known as La Raza. She even proudly proclaims her membership in the hate-group in her White House Staffer bio. Putting La Raza in charge of immigration policy is like putting the fox in charge of the hatchery, or a pedophile in charge of a government-run pre-K indoctrination installation ("school"). Crap, I'm giving him ideas...

While you are there, you can look at Obama's "Director of Progressive Media". Basically, he's what the Soviet Union called a "Political Officer" and chief of what Orwell termed "Thought Police".

Basement-Dwellers' Post-Menopausal Moms

The title should say it all. However, there are some out there who need it explained to them in slow, painful detail.

Progressive, Liberal Socio-Commies and their Useful Idiots like to refer to the GOP as the "Party of Stuffy Old White Men".

Isn't that "special".

What is even more special is that they fail to understand the difference between a Conservative and a Republican. Most Conservatives tend to vote Republican. However, the two are not one in the same.

Example:  John McCain is a Republican (allegedly). He is a stuffy, out-of-touch old man. He is not a Conservative.

The same can be said, emphatically, of Speaker Boehner. Republican, yes, Conservative, no.

Lindsey Graham fills that same mold.

So does Karl Rove.

Though members of the Republican Party, the following are Conservatives who do not fit into the mold. They are round pegs who tend to destroy those square holes rather easily:

Senator Ted Cruz is a dynamo. He has hit the US Senate with a Texas-sized wildfire of conservatism. He is not old. He is also not white, for those who are hell-bent on addressing somebody's ethnic heritage.

Marco Rubio is a conservative, also neither old nor white.

For those who need more examples: Herman Cain, Allen West, Karen Harrington, Sarah Palin, Elisabeth Emken, Mia Love, Condoleeza Rice, and Dr. Ben Carson, to name a few.

While some may say that right-wing political pundits still fill that false collectivist description of the GOP, they are correct when referring to Rush Limbaugh. However, they have it dead wrong if they bother to look at Ann Coulter. Do you want to see them back-pedal and stumble? Show them a picture of the lovely Dana Loesch and Katie Pavlich!

The Democrats need to pay close attention to how they categorize their opposition. Since they felt the urge to start throwing pebbles from the front porch of their glass house, it is fitting to return fire.

If the GOP is the "party of stuffy. old, successful, white men" then the Jackass party is the party of "Post-Menopausal Mothers Of 30-something Basement Dwellers".

Think about that for a second. Let it sink in.

They want their baby-boy safe, warm, protected, and free to play World of Warcraft in the basement without those tiresome burdens like responsibility and accountability. They don't want their 30+ year old baby boys and girls to grow up and leave their nests empty. They don't want them to work and succeed on their own. If they should then, gasp, they may find a spouse! They may raise their own children! NO!

They support abortions for their 20 something daughters. Why? They want them to feel all secure and nurtured by momma. Should they keep the child, they shouldn't worry. They don't need a man! No, the kid doesn't need a daddy. Momma will raise the kid for them so that momma never needs to feel that empty nest feeling.

If you think this is just hyperbole made to poke humor at the socialist ideology, you've missed something.

Senator Dianne Feinstein -- Momma doesn't want you to have guns! You might shoot your eye out! Don't worry, Momma-barbie will protect you! Just stay in your basement and play WoW until five AM. The problem is that she isn't equipped, has no authority, and is completely unable to defend you.

Senator Barbara Boxer -- She will tell you how many oranges you are allowed to grow. She will tell you how much you can water them. But don't worry, she'll make you your tofu and alfalfa sandwich to go with your Pepsi.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz -- does not fit the mold. That is because scientists are still attempting to determine her species.

More examples: Sheila Jackson-Lee, Maxine Waters, Claire McCaskill, Hillary Clinton, Elisabeth Warren, and Mikulski.

Even Rep. Henry Waxman fits the bill. She claims to be male, but may really just be a preoperative transgendered post-menopausal woman. The same goes for Harry Reid.

If you require further proof, look no further than Nancy Pelosi. She cooked up a mystery-meat stew and named it "Obamacare". She won't tell you what is in it until you've eaten it. She tells you that it is good for you. What she failed to tell you is that she accidentally grabbed the package of rat poison instead of the corn starch, went a little overboard on the alum, and mixed in a year's supply of progestin.

If you still have doubts, every time one of these women speaks, play Pink Floyd's "Mother" from their "The Wall" album. Heck, take a few minutes to look at their official photographs and voting records while playing that song. It will sink in, eventually.

Evolving Definition of a Term ("Nutjob")

I've seen the term "nutjob" tossed around quite a bit lately. Mostly, I see the term used as some form of insult regarding conservatives:  "Right-Wing Nutjob" or "RWNJ".

Curious about the origins, I did a little research. Actually, it's been a pet project for a few months now. When bored and not inspired to pick up my guitar, read a philosophy or economics book, watch  a movie, tend my bonsai, go hiking, or any of the other hobbies I enjoy, I will pick some topic to research. I have often been nicknamed "the walking encyclopedia". See, I've had this nasty habit of researching trivia since I was a child. It's quite amusing how this "trivia" becomes important knowledge every so often. For example, knowing the proper cooking temperature and folding ("pulling") techniques for making taffy came in quite handy for building rapport with an Iraqi military commander. Knowing the chord progression for "Smoke on the Water" broke the ice with one insurgent detainee, allowing the interrogator to actually glean some information. So, it has come in handy in some circumstances one would never consider such "trivia" useful.

Combining one hobby concerning the etymology of words, phrases, and jargon with an interest in obscure military facts and history led to a rather amusing thread of research:  the term "nutjob".

Today, many so-called experts on slang will attempt to tell you that a "nutjob" is when somebody stimulates you, sexually, to climax. The "nut" part is the ejaculation, the "job" being the act leading to it. However, the term "nutjob" predates the slang use of "nut" as a euphemism for semen. That term actually derives from the slang use of "nut" as a testicle. That is another misnomer on the meaning of "nutjob". Some will try to tell you it is manual or oral stimulation of the testicles and scrotum.

One thing many agree upon is that the term "nutjob" refers to somebody who is a little "off". It is a slang term for somebody who is not to be taken seriously because their ideas are a little unfounded. Here we do get a little closer to the origin of the term.

In World War One (WWI), the US Army Air Corps sent aviators to Europe. The planes in those days were much more rickety and far less sophisticated than today's aircraft. In fact, until timing chains were employed with the machine guns, pilots and/or gunners often shot off their own propellers. These aircraft had few instruments, sometimes not even a working fuel gauge. The better pilots learned the "feel" of their aircraft and the responsiveness through contact forces between their bodies and the aircraft. Hence you have the derivation of the phrase "by the seat of your pants".

These pilots were already a bit brazen. Many of them were extreme adrenaline junkies. In the thick of an air battle, many would land, refuel, and get back in the air as fast as possible.

Ground crews and mechanics knew the benefits of regular maintenance in keeping the planes flying. These Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) were considered necessary between flights and often during refueling periods during brief landings. Sometimes the mechanics would want to ground the plane to fix something that could end up being a larger problem. Remember, these aircraft were a lot more rickety than today's jets. The vibrations of the engine, the guns, and the forces at work producing lift and torque often caused screws, nuts, and bolts to loosen.

So when the pilots landed to refuel, the mechanics would run out to check over the planes while they were refueling. If they noticed something, the amped-up pilots impatient to get back into battle would tell the mechanics to "just give her a nutjob", meaning to tighten down loose nuts and bolts, tape up holes, and get the plane ready to fly with the least work necessary. Sometimes this meant delaying work on more serious problems that could cause the aircraft to fail in the middle of the battle.

Of course, this led to many planes flying and landing "on a wing and a prayer", another term dating back to WWI.

Soon, the mechanics started using the term "nutjob" to refer to the adrenaline-junkie pilots who would do a "slam and scram" and order that minimal maintenance. So, these pilots would often go back into the fray with at least a "loose screw". Sometimes they would be in such a rush, they'd tell the mechanics to forgo the "nutjob" and would would themselves become the "nutjobs" flying with a "screw loose".

So a "nutjob" is either, in reality, a hasty bit of work, just enough to start a project without full preparation; or it is somebody crazy enough to accept taking a few unnecessary risks in order to attempt to accomplish a mission/task.

Taking into account the origin of the term "nutjob", one can only assume that the true meaning of a "right-wing" or "left-wing" "nutjob" is one that has the nuts and bolts tightened on that given wing. So, a "right-wing nutjob" (RWNJ) is somebody who has at least some facts from the right side of the political spectrum tightened down, well. However, that would mean that the "left-wing" has a few "screws loose".

The same applies the other way. I have no "screws loose", so I avoid calling somebody on the totalitarian-oligarchy-minded left-wing a "nutjob".

One final thought, kids:  the one who laugh last was too clueless to get the joke.
